Cookies for Kairos
The Mission Committee is sponsoring a Cookie Drive in the month of February to sponsor Harmon Biehl in his service to Kairos Prison Ministry International. Each Tuesday, Harmon along with other Kairos members travels to Lake Correctional Institution to minister to incarcerated men with agape love, and yes, to share cookies!
Kairos programs offer to prison residents, their families, and those who work with them, the opportunity to receive God’s forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ, and to grow in their faith and servant hood in Christian community.
Return your donation of store-bought sandwich-style cookies to the Drop Box near the Fellowship Hall. Approximately 140 dozen cookies are needed for one month!

Wii Bowling Event to
Serve as a Fund Raiser
People of all ages are invited to join us for a Wii Bowling event Sunday, Feb. 26, in the CLC at 4 p.m. Using Wii game consoles connected to TVs, participants will be able to “bowl” in the comfort of our CLC. We are asking participants to donate $10. The money we raise will be turned over to our Relay for Life team to aid them in their quest to raise money to battle cancer. We want to emphasize this event is for people of all ages. You do not have to be a teenager to bowl in this way.
For more information, see Pastor Bob,
Jennifer Hunt, or Tiffany Goggans.
2012 Flower Calendar Dates Now Available
It's time to sign up for our 2012 Sanctuary Flower Calendar. This is a wonderful way to glorify God and commemorate an event in our lives. We will need one, and only one, arrangement for every Sunday and Christmas Eve. The dates will be listed on the calendar so you can pick the date closest to your special date to provide flowers for the sanctuary. Also, please be aware that beginning in January 2012, any additional arrangements provided will be placed in the Narthex.
Your Help Is Needed!
In anticipation of
Oakland Presbyterian Church’s
