Meet The Staff

Dr. Robert P. Hines, Jr. - Pastor

Pastor Bob was born and raised in Beaver, PA. He majored in history at Maryville College, and it was there that he met his wife, Pat.   After graduation, Bob and Pat moved to New Jersey, where he got his seminary degree from Princeton Theological Seminary. Pastor Bob's first call took him to Ohio, where he serve two churches -- in Cadiz and Jewett. After four years, he accepted a call to serve Calvin Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City, PA, where he served for 18 years. While there he attended Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and received his Doctor of Ministry degree, focusing on stewardship. In 2002, Pastor Bob came to Oakland to serve as the pastor here. Bob has served on several Presbytery committees as member and chair, and as a commissioner to the General Assembly.   In his spare time, he likes to read, watch movies, travel, and spend time with friends and family. He and his wife have two children. Chris lives in Connecticut, and Erin lives in Virginia.

Tiffany Goggans - Director of Christian Education

Tiffany began her ministry at Oakland in October of 2007.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Child Psychology at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA.  In 2007, she earned a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education from Union Theological Seminary in Richmond, VA.  As Director of Christian Education, Tiffany oversees the education ministry of the church for children, youth, and adults. She also equips and trains our volunteers for educational ministry.  In her free time, Tiffany enjoys running and riding her bike on the West Orange bike trail or just watching movies at home with her husband Israel. 

Jennifer Hunt - Director of Music, Youth Choir Director

Jennifer was born and raised in Winter Garden, attending OPC since she was an infant. Her involvement in music has spanned her entire life, influenced by her parents and the church, and she has instilled that love of music in her children.  She has Bachelor of Music and Vocal Performance from Rollins College, and is a licensed real estate agent. Jennifer has actively participated in all of the OPC choirs, she started the Handbell Choir in the 70's and served as the director until 2001 when she was hired as the Director of Music. She and her husband Randy, have two daughters.  Soon to be "empty nesters," Jennifer enjoys speed walking and is an avid animal lover.

Bonnie Litteral - Director of Children's Choirs

Bonnie began directing children’s choirs at Oakland in the fall of 1986, and  now has three choirs ranging in age from preschool through fifth grade.  She is also the director for the Summer Music Camp. She received her Bachelor of Music, Vocal Performance degree from Stetson University in 1974, a Master’s degree, magna cum laude, from Boston Conservatory, and was an apprentice artist at Sante Fe Opera in 1980. Bonnie holds Level I and Level II Orff certifications, serves on the board of the Central Florida Orff Chapter, and is president of the Central Florida Chapter of Choristers Guild. She teaches elementary music to five hundred students, at Princeton Elementary, and has twice been selected as Teacher of the Year.

Bonnie is active in the adult choir and Presbyterian Women. She has been married to Jack since 1971, and they have three children: Lisa, "JT" Jack, and Kristin, a son-in-law Charlie and grandson Andy.

Josh Hosseinzadeh - Youth Director

Nicknamed "Josh Khaos", he was born in Orlando and raised in Eustis. Raised in the church, he has helped out in youth ministry for many years. Josh plays many musical instruments, has played in many different bands, and loves products made by Apple (iPod, iPhone, iPad, etc.) He and his wife, Rebecca, were married in August onf 2011 and are expecting their first child in July 2012.

Diane Flager - Organist

Born in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania, Diane received her Bachelor in Elementary Education from East Stroudsburg University and is certified in Middle School Language Arts.  She has been a teacher for 34 years. Diane moved to Florida in 1980, and has never regretted it. She served as assistant organist for Community United Methodist Church in Casselberry, before becoming a full time organist and pianist for Oakland Presbyterian 8 years ago.  She is married to Mark, who works as an accountant for a local car leasing firm. Diane's daughter, April, is a Dr. of Clinical Psychology, working for the Veterans Administration in Orlando. Diane is available for weddings and funerals and thoroughly enjoys being a part of the wonderful spiritual music ministry at Oakland. 

Connie King - Assistant to Children's Choirs & Piano Instructor

Connie has an extensive background in music, having majored in organ at Moravian College, in Bethlehem, PA, where she was active in the college choir, the Bach choir, and played the organ each day for devotional services.  She received her Bachelor of Music, cum laude, from the University of Central Florida.  She has been active in the Bach Choir, Florida Music Teachers' Association, and the Orlando Opera Guild. Connie taught piano and music theory at Rollins College School of Creative Arts, served as music director at the Pine Castle Center of the Arts, and taught privately. Connie serves as accompanist for the children's choir, substitute organist, and teaches a group piano class for the Children's Music Program, in addition to playing with the Handbell choir, singing in the adult choir, and the Garden Community Choir.

Peggy Lantz - Leader of Handbell Choir

Peggy Lantz has a Bachelor's of Music degree in Music Education from
Rollins College and has served as choir director and director of music for
several churches for over 25 years. Peggy is active in the OPC music program where, in addition to her work directing the Handbell Choir, she coordinates the gathering music for the 11 a.m. worship service and sings in the adult choir. Her other primary interest is Florida's natural history.  She is the author or principal author of four books on Florida nature, has served as editor of two environmental magazines and several newsletters for many years. She and her husband Don have four children and five grandchildren, and they love their home that is on the Orange County lake that was originally settled by her grandfather in 1914.

Julie Butler - Administrative Assistant

Julie, who joined our staff in 2010, has lived in West Orange county all her life. Born and raised in Winter Garden, she is a fifth generation native Floridian. Julie and her husband, Drew, live in Ocoee with their two sons, Jake and Justin, who both attend Ocoee High School.  Before joining our staff Julie worked for several years for the Winter Garden Heritage Foundation. Julie is an active member of First United Methodist Church of Winter Garden and the Winter Garden Rotary Club.  She enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in her community. 

Julie Dale - Business Manager

Julie was born and raised in Lake Wales, FL, moving to Orlando with her family in 1997. She attended Georgia Southern College, where she majored in Business. She has been married to Richie (Richard) since 1974, and they have two children, Jimmy and Kelly, and one grandson, Parker.

In addition to her job at the church, she also teaches tennis for the City of Winter Garden. She is a member of USPTA and is certified as a Master Racket Technician with the USRSA. Julie enjoys reading, gardening, playing tennis, and spoiling her grandson, of course!
