Pinewood Derby

In April, we gathered at the Oakland Presbyterian Church Christian Life Center for a day of fun and competition. As you can see, everyone was getting into the fun and the parents were so proud of all of the scouts.

Blue and Gold Banquet

We celebrated the Cub Scout birthday with our Chinese New Year themed banquet this year. The scouts worked very hard to obtain their ranks, so our awards ceremony was fantastic! 

Scout Sunday

Cub Scout pack 978 was honored during the worship service at Oakland Presbyterian Church on February 3, 2008. Eight scout received their God and me awards in a special presentation, and Pastor Bob Hines received an award from the scouts for all the help he had given during the time they were working toward this award.

Scout Meeting   

At the January meeting, everyone gathered for a pack photo opportunity.  Each den was working on different projects including map building, marbles, knife use and safety.  Mark Winsor, our District Unit Commissioner, visited the Weblos to recruit for an upcoming event.

Veteran's Day Flag Ceremony                            

On Veteran's Day, November 11, 2007, the cubscouts from Pack 978 gathered at the VFW Post 4305 for a special flag ceremony. Commander Jim Bateman (seen in the photos with the military hat) and Daniel Riveira assisted the scouts that were working on their rank badge.
