Christians may worship at any time, as all time has been consecrated by God. We gather together each Sunday morning for worship as the Family of Jesus Christ. Weekly Worship offers the opportunity to praise God in song and prayer, and to be nurtured and challenged as the Word of God is preached. Worship services are held in the Sanctuary.
Parents should feel free to keep their young children with them in worship, as we believe that children learn how to worship by being in worship. On Sunday mornings, children have a special bulletin, with Biblical activities designed to interest and teach.
Child care is provided in the Nursery for both worship services as well as Sunday school. The Nursery has two trained staff members, and church volunteers are used when needed. Each parent is provided with beeper, so the staff may contact you if you are needed by your child for any reason during worship or Sunday school.
Our 8:45 a.m. service offers a less formal approach to worship and includes a blend of contemporary music and many “favorite” hymns. We are led in worship by the Praise Team, consisting of vocal members, guitar, drums, and keyboard.
The 11 a.m. service is a more traditional service which includes a full choir, organ and often a string ensemble, or brass ensemble. We provide children’s church for those age 4 through grade 2. Children join their parents in the sanctuary for about 10-15 minutes, until they are invited to the front of the church for a brief children’s message. The children may then leave the sanctuary to attend a special worship experience planned just for them.
We offer Cafe Worship, at 6:05 p.m., in the Christian Life Center on the third Sunday of the month. The style and dress is casual, and people sit around tables while enjoying light refreshments during the service. The service includes a message, along with musical performances, and may include drama, liturgical dance, and other forms of expression that feed the spirit.
